Back from Vacation...

Hello everyone,

We hope you had a great vacation! We are back and eager to continue with all our plans. We have incomporated a few more services to our company, which we will oficially introduce to you soon.

I want to share something I received and that I think is worth posting in this blog because it reflects what FashionUP is trying to redefine about consumer fashion...

Have a great day!

¨Are there any real fashion designers out there that are not celebrities? I remember when saying you wanted to be a fashion designer was something unique. What celebrities are doing to the independent fashion designer, is what the reality show did to the struggling actor... ...Has fashion become something just to be packaged and stamped with a name? Are you wearing fashion or is fashion really wearing you?Has society become so robotic that we will buy anything that is backed by a celebrity? I would like to think the answer is NO!"

Kaann Howden Chief Stylist

We want to welcome our new FashionUP Chief Stylist from Canada
Kaann Howden.

Kaann will manage all FashionUP stylists in Canada.

Kaann Howden fashion connoisseur and industry entrepreneur started her impressive career at Humber College’s Fashion Arts Program. Streamlining her newly found niche, Kaann continued her education with Ryerson’s Fashion Coordination and Styling certificate courses. Kaann started building her portfolio with product styling and interior design with clients nationally and internationally.

Through her continued work as an interior designer, Kaann wanted more, which lead her to pursue another path in the industry. Her creativity and eye for fashion lead her into the world of modeling. As an agent/scout for SHOK Models, she developed the skills and knowledge of finding, developing and promoting talent. With this new found focus, she wanted to expand and explore, so she worked as lead stylist for various fashion shows. During L’Oreal Fashion Week, Kaann was able to show off her talent by styling for Toronto designer Salem Moussallem, of Hibebe Designs.

In this continued success, Chozen Stylizticz was established. Kaann’s industry knowledge, extensive understanding of style and experience in fashion affords a unique perspective on her endeavors. Chozen Stylizticz, Artist Agency, was created to represent talented wardrobe and product stylists, hair stylists, makeup artists and photographers from North America. Many of these artists don’t have an opportunity to be discovered and establish their professional careers in the Fashion and Entertainment industry.

Chozen Stylizticz caters to not only the Fashion and Entertainment industry and its affiliates but also to individuals. They recognize all their clients’ needs, and support each by providing their talented roster to fulfill their creative objective.

My name is Rachel. I graduated with First Class Honours in BA Fashion Management from the London College of Fashion. I have since been working as a freelance fashion journalist and stylist. I have worked for South African FHM and Heat magazines, have been a contributing Fashion Editor to Bulb, a youth global issues magazine, and also had extensive work experience in the fashion departments of British Vogue, Grazia and the Daily Telegraph.
I pride myself in being able to dress women ideally for their shape and colouring no matter what the occasion may be. Being able to work for FashionUP and deal with real women rather than magazine ideals is truly what I find inspiring.

I was astounded by this website when I came across it for it’s truly outstanding concept. I love that it is so different from other styling agencies as you actually work specifically with designers to create individual garments for the client, rather than trawling around the shops for run of the mill outfits. This is the exact kind of work I have wanted to get into for a long time. I would love to be offered the opportunity to work with real women, helping them create a look for life, helping them to find themselves through their clothes, rather than working in a situation where I style a look for the sake of one photoshoot.
